Tim on the Schnitt show with Pat Campbell

I was a guest on the Schnitt Radio Show, based in Tampa, while Pat Campbell was guest-hosting; talking about the apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia, and what it does, and doesn't mean.  It was a great segment and sets the stage for this Sunday's episode of Vericast, where I'll talk about the exhortation a little more fully.

You, Me and Arianism

Arianism - Vericast Catholic Podcast network
Ever since last Sunday’s show (1/19/14) on Arianism I have had the idea for a blog persistently prodding my mind. It has taken me all week, however, to come to what I am going to talk about here. Thanks to a discussion on skeeoh on some distressing statistics in the Church, a video posted by James on Skeeoh called “Worried about the Papacy?" Christ is the Point” and Thursday’s Vericast show/after show my thoughts have finally come together. Really? None of those things spoke about Arianism at all. What in the world are you talking about? Well, that’s just my quirk now isn’t it? Or maybe its just that the Holy Spirit works with me in odd and various ways. Maybe, though, Arianism is in the Church where we haven't thought to look.

Freemasonry: Enemy or Boogieman?

Some in the audience were mentioning, or asking about organizations bent on evil intentions. The illuminati and Freemasonry are two examples. Freemasonry in particular is a hot-button topic for Catholics. More and more whenever evil abounds or something smells of conspiracy, it's often wondered whether Freemasonry is involved, if this is the evil doing of secret Freemasons, or if someone involved is in league with Freemasons. Some Marian apparitions have pointed out that Freemasonry will be the ally of the devil in the coming battle between good and evil. So what do we think?
